Our Resorts

Cardrona

Cardrona is based in the picturesque Wanaka, widely regarded as one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand. Although the field is family friendly (it does have a gondola as well) it’s well liked by experienced riders, with a huge terrain park available and an extensive backcountry to explore. It also tends to get a higher amount of snowfall with it being higher than the likes of the Remarkables or Coronet Peak.It also plays home to numerous festivals and has a packed out winter events schedule, something to keep everyone entertained.

Where You’d Live

Wanaka is widely favoured by those who want a picturesque ski town, but without the hustle and bustle that comes with Queenstown. Although it still has everything you need to have a great time, it’s undoubtedly quieter than it’s more famous neighbour, but this is why it is widely loved by everyone who has lived there. Two of the main tourist destinations, Lake Wanaka and Roy’s Peak, are found on numerous lists of ‘best views in the world’, and are deservedly worth it. Rent is slightly cheaper in Wanaka, with you looking between NZD$180-$200 per week for a room, and it has a small town vibe where you get to know everyone.
